Alec Bradley Cigars will launch two new extensions to their MAXX line for Summer, 2007. “We first introduced MAXX last September,” reports President Alan Rubin, “and it has fulfilled its promise to satisfy smokers who favor the deep flavor and body of large cigars. Their 50-60 ring gauges reward the smoker with impressive depth and complexity. We have retained that bold original MAXX blend for both these new introductions. The complex 5-nation MAXX delivers a medium to full-bodied smoke, combining Colombian, Nicaraguan Jalapa, Honduran, and Mexican filler; Costa Rican binder; and Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. We use no seco filler, only viso and ligero, the top two primings, which gives it power.”
Alec Bradley adds two new full-bodied extensions to their MAXX line, the Box Press and the Nano. The new MAXX Box Press has a girth of 62-ring, and is offered in 6-1/4" length. Despite its size, the box press fits more comfortably in the mouth and between the fingers. Presentation is an attractive box with 5 slide-out trays holding 10 cigars each, and features an elegant multi-finish wood exterior.
MAXX Nano, the second offering, is a 46 x 4" cigar, packaged 20 cigars to the box. Its standard MAXX blend is proportioned for the smaller ring gauge, and Rubin describes it as a “little powerhouse that delivers a short but opulent smoke. With the increasing smoking restrictions in the U.S., many smokers don’t have time for a full-sized cigar. We think they will move toward the Nano, a cigar that delivers a short smoke with bold flavor and body. ” Alec Bradley has set the MSRP of the MAXX Box Press and Nano at $8.50 and $4.00 per cigar, respectively. Both cigars will begin appearing on retailers’ shelves in August. |
