Nestle Nespresso Espresso System
Alec Bradley Cigar Company has formalized an agreement with Nestlé Nespresso S.A. to supply its espresso machines to the premium cigar market. Under the agreement, Alec Bradley will sell Nespresso machines to cigar retailers, as well as offer special promotions that provide a wide range of free Nespresso machines to retailers, with the purchase of select Alec Bradley cigar lines. Each Nespresso system comes with a smart coffee machine the company’s trademarked, hermetically-sealed Grand Cru capsules available in a large choice of high-quality coffees. Nespresso also provides personalized services through its Nespresso Club.
“Smokeshops are always looking for something to enhance sales,” says Alan Rubin, founder and president of Alec Bradley Cigars. “Espresso and cigars are a natural complement. Providing a relaxed and hospitable atmosphere in your store for smokers — and non-smoking espresso lovers — will keep them there longer.”
Busy store personnel needn’t spend extra time tending to the coffee-making process. A perfect cup of espresso can be made with a Nespresso system at the touch of a button without handling loose coffee grinds. The unique capsule technology makes preparation quick, easy, and simple, even for untrained store personnel.
Available in 12 Grand Cru varieties, Nespresso’s exclusive selection of premium roast and ground coffees are selected for outstanding flavor, character, and quality. Capsules are color-coded by strength, so smoke shops can carry a variety coffee styles in one small container for convenient storage yet still easily find the one they want.
“When serious espresso aficionados find this alternative to Starbucks, there’s no telling what it could do for a tobacconist’s profits,” says Rubin.
